Rites of passage, what they mean, why they must be taken very solemnly. 5. Chapters 13-14, Saul and Jonathan's rash mistakes. The importance of both method and theory in learning. 6. David's status as a musician!
Berean Academy, Bible as Education: Book of Judges
Joined by Pastor Devon Williams of California, Bobby explores the Book of Judges as a "how not to" guide for educators. Most Bible students have been taught to view Judges as a book about failure but here Devon and Bobby go deeper to examine why it failed. Though there were moments of virtue, the great heroes like Ehud and Gideon did not have a way of passing their victories on the next generation. The failure was a failure to teach.
