Ratchet and Clank is an action/adventure game in which you play as Ratchet, a trash compactor. Ratchet has been put in charge of a small intergalactic organization (think of it like a Star Trek: Voyager or Lexx-class starship) that’s tasked with saving the universe by solving puzzles and blowing up enemy ships. You go on a bunch of missions, often on the back of your quest to save the universe’s single most important person. Ratchet and Clank has the same format for most of its series.
Ratchet and Clank on PS4/Xbox One/PC is a pleasant surprise. It’s a long-running franchise that’s more than a decade old, and I’d just assumed that the most recent game was probably a forgettable cash grab, especially since I had this nasty feeling that the series had been neutered by its latest entry.
If you don't enjoy Tetris Attack's competitive mode, the puzzle elements are still a treat. If you do like competitive Tetris, however, you may like to know that Tetris Attack is one of the only SNES-era games that has a rare mode in which a Rotation Tetris board is used. It's a bit time-consuming to set up, but it definitely adds more depth to the mechanics.
Ratchet and Clank have always been about the same. I mean, not that being smart and figuring things out is the same thing. But the R&C games are probably the second-closest thing to a formula that I've ever encountered. You're playing as an in-universe version of an everyday guy that's part of an intergalactic organization that's trying to save the universe. You can either be the good guy or the bad guy, and you're obviously trying to save the universe. Your gadgets will be the tools you use to do so. There's usually a load of plot twists along the way, and the level design is usually kind of a mess. You're going to solve puzzles, blow up things, and go to space.
@Shigurui I've been having this issue the past few weeks. Haven't been able to launch the game from game pass. The game pass icon never shows up on the game. I have to log out then log back in. Any idea what's going on or what I can do to get this fixed?
@Shigurui same as you. Just started a play any game pass, logged into the app, clicked the install game pass button, but then didn't get the option to play a game. If I try again later and log in after the install is done, then it just shows the game pass logo. I'm using 2x shigurui's broken plans.
@Shigurui Never encountered this issue but I wonder if it's because my game pass download was taking way too long at the time and it didn't get completely downloaded before I launched the game.
@Shigurui I've actually had this happen to me once but only once. There was an issue with the game pass where it was taking too long to download so it wouldn't let you install it and I think I didn't have a network connection because it was happening at the same time as the 3t progress screen and it wouldn't let me continue.
